Senior Night Shutout for SLP Orioles

Tuesday night was Senior Night for the St. Louis Park boys soccer team and a couple of seniors, Josh Halper and Jacob Stillman scored in the second half to lead the host Orioles to a 2-0 win over the New Richmond Tigers.

Neither team would score in the first half though the Orioles came close on Anthony Brandel's shot that bounced off the crossbar.

Following a Senior Night ceremony where 17 players on the varsity and junior varsity teams were recognized as well as student manager Jade LaBelle, St. Louis Park would break the scoreless deadlock on Halper's goal 3:53 into the second half.  Stillman would clinch the win for the Orioles with a shot that ricocheted off the right post and entered the net.  It would wrap up the game's scoring.

The Orioles increased their record to 2-2 and host the Chaska Hawks on Thursday, September 7 at 7 PM.  The Tigers fell to 1-3 and will also be in action on the 7th as they host the Hayward Hurricanes at 4:30 PM.
