SLP Orioles Conclude Regular Season With Loss to Buffalo Bison

Senior Day was a Saturday matinee for the St. Louis Park boys soccer team that was decided by Blake Habisch's game winning goal with 7:36 left in regulation time to lead the Buffalo Bison to a 1-0 over the host Orioles.

Neither team scored in the first half though St. Louis Park had an opportunity to take the lead but Ian Lockhart's shot bounced off the crossbar.

In the second half, it looked like there would be a scoreless tie that would force overtime.  Not so for Buffalo as Spencer Lund dribbled the ball down the left side of the field and made a centering pass to Habisch and he sent the ball to the net.

The Orioles wore their orange jerseys instead of their regular home white uniforms to give the senior varsity and junior varsity players a chance to play in the regular season finale.  The only underclass players who saw action were Nicholas Beaton, Zinedine Kroeten, Fabio Leyva, Abati Dedefo and Jacob Stillman.

The Bison conclude their regular season with a record of 9-4-2.  They finish on a 7-0-1 run since losing to St.Cloud Tech September 19.  The Orioles end their season 3-10-2.  St. Louis Park has gone 0-5-1 since September 22 when they shut out the Cooper Hawks 2-0.
