High school soccer and football fans will have to bring out some more dollar bills because state tournament ticket prices will be going up as they head into their maiden voyage at the new US Bank Stadium this fall.
The state soccer and football tournaments will be heading back inside after two seasons in freezing cold weather due to construction of the new US Bank stadium. The state soccer semifinals and finals were played at Husky Stadium on the St. Cloud State University campus and the Prep Bowl was at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium.
State soccer semifinal and championship ticket prices will be $12 for adults and $8 for students. State football tournament games, including the Prep Bowl go up to $14 for adults and $9 for students.
Ticket prices increases were approved by the Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors at its August 9 meeting in Deerwood.
Fall practice opens for football, soccer, volleyball, cross country and swimming Monday, August 15.
